This policy explains how Wevolt Pty Ltd (ABN 80 658 807 615) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information through this website and the Wevolt app, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Use of the Wevolt Hub and our platform services by business customers is also governed by the relevant service agreements.

Information we collect on this website

When you contact us or book a call through this website, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your message. Our web servers also keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to keep the site secure and reliable.

Information we collect if you use the Wevolt app

Account details — your name, email address and phone number when you create an account.
Payment information — payments made in the app are processed by Stripe, and payments made at charger card terminals are processed by the terminal provider (Nayax or Payter). Your card details are handled and stored by these payment providers — Wevolt does not store your full card number.
Location — with your permission, the app uses your device's location to show nearby chargers on the map. You can withdraw this permission in your device settings.
Charging activity — your charging sessions, energy delivered, receipts and, where you use one, your RFID card association, so we can operate the service and provide your charging history.
Roaming — where you charge on a partner network (or a partner's driver charges on a Wevolt-connected charger), the account and session identifiers needed to authorise and bill the session are exchanged with that network operator using the OCPI industry standard.

How we use your information

To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you request.
To operate the Wevolt app and charging services — starting sessions, billing, receipts and support.
To manage our relationship with you and your organisation.
To operate, secure and improve our website, app and platform.

Marketing

We may occasionally send you updates about Wevolt products and services relevant to your enquiry or account. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us — we'll action it promptly.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run our services:

Zoho — our customer relationship management, bookings and support systems, where website enquiries and support requests are stored so our team can follow up.
Payment providers — Stripe (app payments) and Nayax or Payter (charger card terminals) process payments on our behalf.
Roaming partners — network operators we interoperate with via OCPI, to the extent needed to authorise and bill roaming charging sessions.
Infrastructure providers — such as our website host (Vercel) and cloud services that run our platform.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.

Storage & security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Information may be stored on servers operated by our service providers, which may be located in or outside Australia (including the United States). Where information is held overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies needed for essential functionality — we do not run advertising or analytics cookies. Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which sets its own cookies; this site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by contacting us at contact@wevolt.com.au.
