How to list your chargers for public (paid) charging on Wevolt

This guide is for site hosts and installers who want to make their charger available to the public on the Wevolt app and charge a fee for its use. For the opposite case, see Can I Keep My Chargers Private?

What public listing means

A public charger appears on the Wevolt app map so any Wevolt driver can find it, start a session, and pay. A private charger is hidden and limited to the people or RFID cards you authorise.

What you need

  1. A connected Stripe Connect payout account. This is where your charging revenue is paid, and a Public licence cannot be assigned until it is set up. See Connecting or changing your Stripe Connect payout account.
  2. A charger registered and online on the Wevolt platform.
  3. A software licence on the charger. Wevolt licences come in Public, Private, and Strata types, on 12 or 24-month terms. Public charging requires a Public licence.
  4. A tariff (pricing) profile set on the charger.

The steps

  1. Set up your Stripe Connect payout account, if you have not already. A Public licence cannot be assigned until this is done.
  2. Get the charger connected to the Wevolt platform.
  3. Assign a Public charging licence to it.
  4. Set the charger to Public in its settings.
  5. Configure a tariff: price per kWh, any idle or parking fees, free-charging windows, and limits.
  6. Once it is public and licensed, it goes live on the app for any driver to use and pay.

Pricing

Licence and software fees are quote-based and depend on your setup. Contact us for current pricing.
