This is the front door for new Charge Point Operators (CPOs) onboarding to Wevolt Hub. Follow the steps below to get from sign-up to a live charger.
If you’d prefer a hands-on walkthrough, reach out at any point — email contact@wevolt.com.au or visit wevolt.com.au. Hands-on assistance with onboarding, training, or charger commissioning is a paid General Support engagement — see Technical support for CPOs: Software Support vs General Support for how it works and how to request a quote.
Step 1 — Sign up to Wevolt Hub
Wevolt Hub is the operator console where you manage your locations, chargers, tariffs, and sessions. Contact the Wevolt team to set up your account and receive your sign-in details.
Once your account is active, sign in at hub.wevolt.com.au.
Step 2 — Connect your Stripe payout account
Public charging revenue is paid out through Stripe Connect, so you need a connected Stripe account before you can charge for sessions. A Public charging licence cannot be assigned until this is done.
See Connecting or changing your Stripe Connect payout account in Wevolt Hub for the full step-by-step.
Step 3 — Add your location
A location is the physical site where your chargers will sit — for example, a car park, depot, or workplace. You need a location before you can add chargers to it.
See Adding New Location In Wevolt Hub for the full step-by-step.
Step 4 — Add your charger
With your location created, add each physical charger to it. You’ll enter the charger’s serial number, connector details, and OCPP connection settings so the charger can talk to Wevolt Hub.
See Adding a Charger in Wevolt Hub for the full walkthrough, including OCPP setup.
Step 5 — Configure your tariff
Set the price drivers will pay to use your charger. Tariffs are configured per charger in Wevolt Hub and can include an energy rate ($/kWh), an idle parking fee, and any operating-hour conditions you want to apply.
If you’re unsure what to set, the Wevolt team can advise on rates that are competitive for your site type.
Step 6 — Test connection and make it available
Before going live, test that the charger is talking to Wevolt Hub and able to start a session. The connection test and the “make available” toggle are covered at the end of Adding a Charger in Wevolt Hub.
Once available, your charger will appear on the public map in the Wevolt App — or stay hidden, if you’ve set it to private. See Can I Keep My Chargers Private? for the difference.
Step 7 (optional) — Load Management for multi-charger sites
If your site has multiple chargers sharing a single grid connection, Wevolt’s Load Management System (LMS) lets you cap the total draw and balance power across active sessions to stay within your site’s capacity.
This step is optional but recommended for any site with more than one or two chargers. Ask the Wevolt team for the Wevolt LMS site/charger onboarding guide for the full setup.
✓ You don’t need to do everything yourself
If you’d like to add team members to help manage chargers, see How to Add a Delegate User with Permissions. You can grant full or read-only access. If you'd prefer Wevolt to do the setup or commissioning for you, that's a paid General Support engagement — see the support guide linked above.
Still need help?
The Wevolt team is happy to walk you through onboarding end-to-end or jump in on a specific step. Free guidance covers software issues and quick questions; hands-on assistance is quoted as a paid General Support engagement.
